‘Clothing That Puts The Planet And People Before Profits’
When we first saw WAWWA clothing we were really impressed by the design and quality, but it’s also a company that strives to make clothing as that’s as sustainable as possible. Brothers Sean and Andy Geaney founded Manchester’s WAWWA clothing with the aim of releasing well designed clothes that are appealing to wear and appealing to the planet. Everything is designed in house and they work with Fair Trade certified suppliers; are Living Wage employers; and use plant-based, compostable packaging, rather than plastic, for shipping their clothes.
The WAWWA Rise T-Shirt is 100% organic cotton (which uses 91% less water in manufacture than a non-organic T-shirt). It’s been manufactured using renewable energy and the striking graphic print on the front and back uses water-based inks, which are more environmentally friendly.
The Jonah Organic Rugby Sweatshirt is also 100% organic cotton and is a fantastic wardrobe staple. It has an ripstop front pocket and collar with eco-friendly Corozo nut buttons.
The Recycled Pocket T-shirt (which we have in sand and black) is made from a yarn spun from recycled plastic and 60% virgin organic cotton, resulting in a very soft fabric. The box fit is fantastic as well.
